One of my books got a bit of a facelift this week! The same guy, just looking the other way and a new title. And a few new promo images for social media because… well, it was due. I’ve ignored poor Roxy and Kodi enough since their release day in March.
But not anymore!
I’ve changed the title and spiffed up the blurb. It’s short and to the point. A feel-good quick romance for those summer days hanging out by the pool!
EVERY GOOD THING
A Friends to Lovers Romance
What happens when you end up with your own trending hashtag?
For Roxy Porter, you try to salvage what’s left of your nursing career by agreeing to billionaire Kodi Donovan’s suggestion that they pretend to be engaged… just until the trend dies down.
But pretending to be something you’re not, it turns out, isn’t as easy as it looks… especially when feelings between them become real.
love the blurb! do you follow a formula, or do you write what sounds good? do you ask for feedback?

Thanks! I just write what sounds good. The original blurb actually sucked but I couldn’t figure out how to change it until last night. And no, I don’t ask for feedback. I don’t have time because I’m usually designing the graphic while I’m coming up with the blurb.

awwww. we have to wear so many hats! i try to have one or two people look mine over. I used to try to follow Bryan Cohen’s advice in his book, but for All of Nothing I tried Brian D. Meeks’ advice instead. He has a more simplistic approach that might work better. Time will tell, I suppose! At least we can always change it, right?

That’s the beauty of self-publishing. We can always change whatever needs to be changed any time. Bryan Cohen’s style didn’t work for me and I learned from Brian Meeks’ practical stuff when he used to help us in his AMS group 2 years ago. But in the end, it all depends on what people see before the fold or Read More to catch people’s attention. BTW I picked up your book the other day and am reading it this weekend.

I saw that over on Twitter! Thank you! My cat had surgery the other day so between caring for her and trying to get my words down (I’m about 10,000 words away from finishing book 3 in a 4 book series) I haven’t been on social media that much. I would appreciate feedback! I hope you’re having a good weekend!
