Happy Thanksgiving!

Just stopping by to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! I am truly grateful for you and the time you make for me and my blog!

Current plan for the day is to show up at the in-laws and enjoy good food and good company. The Lil Dude woke up sniffling and crying last night and right now, I’m letting him sleep in and enjoy his break.

I probably will end up writing after we return this afternoon since I’ve got book 2 of the Holiday Engagement series to finish and I’m already behind schedule. The dreaded plotting angst is cropping up again and so I’ve been sitting on 17k words for two weeks now. Here’s hoping I make it through all the snags and finish the book by next week in time for editing!

As a side note, I finally got to update my own copy of my book, Everything She Ever Wanted. I turned off automatic updates on my Kindle devices after I saw the original cover of American Gods that I loved replaced by the TV series cover last year. And so I thought, screw this, no more automatic updates on my own content for me. I’ll pick and choose. This is especially true for books that used to have bonus stories in the back. So I’d end up buying something that had 4 full novels (yes, yes, I know they were book stuffing) and then a month or so later, I wondered why the book went from 2500 pages to 200. So I turned off that sucker for good.

But it also meant some books wouldn’t get updated automatically including my copy with its new cover AND an epilogue! Yup, can you believe it? I didn’t include an epilogue in the original version. Silly me, but of course, now I knew better!

Everything old is NEW again! It also doesn’t hurt to have Alexander Skarsgard on the new cover of LeCarre’s Little Drummer Girl!

Oh, and did you know I have 4k books in my Kindle? It’s crazy! I need to start reading them!

Romance me writes stories with happy endings while my naughty pen writes the naughty ones. I also accidentally step on Legos daily while balancing my cup of tea and biscuits.
