I remember seeing this while visiting my cousin in New Jersey one Christmas. They had a projection screen TV and the first thing I thought when they showed the first few seconds was, whoa! That kid is naked!
After that, forget nudity! This movie kept me at the edge of my seat most of the time with nail-biting sequences where I honestly had no idea whether my heroes would survive. After all, I was watching a Danny Boyle movie and so not Hollywood formula.
The women in this movie were bad-ass as hell, too. And Killian Murphy was just great, as was Brendan Gleeson and Christopher Eccleston.
And holy moly, but that soundtrack is something else! In the House, In a Heartbeat is one of my favorites and brings back my favorite line in the movie, “That was longer than a heartbeat.”
Loved this movie!

I do love a good dystopian story, and this was a doozie (love Murphy, have you seen Peaky Blinders?)

It sure was! I’ve seen a few episodes of Peaky Blinders but haven’t been on top of it although it’s on my list of must-see shows!

It’s really worth it, one of the better things on tv.
