First Day of School

Lil Dude woke up before I did. He got dressed before I did, down to his socks and new shoes that he picked out himself. And he was waiting at the door for me while I was still figuring out what to wear.

Turns out, he’s more excited to go back to school than I thought he’d be. Unfortunately, I didn’t wait to meet the teacher or the aide since it was starting to get chaotic when we got there with students not knowing where to go yet at the new school and another teacher took him to the cafeteria with everyone else. Instead, I’m going to meet his teacher and aide when I pick him up and see how his first day went and figure out a strategy.

At least, I’m a lot calmer right now than I was yesterday after I had that email exchange with the IBI supervisor. I couldn’t even write anymore once that negative energy started and kept on going all through the night. But today’s a new day and I’m gonna keep going.

I’ve got books to write even if I somehow lost all the momentum on that Brock-inspired story and need to get that back. Maybe a picture of him with a puppy will help?

Well, that and coffee.

Romance me writes stories with happy endings while my naughty pen writes the naughty ones. I also accidentally step on Legos daily while balancing my cup of tea and biscuits.
