My short story, The Accidental Christmas, was chosen as one of Wattpad’s Home for the Holidays Featured stories this month. And for a two-year-old short story inspired by a trip to the Christmas tree lot with my little prince, I’m pretty chuffed.
The Accidental Christmas tells the story of Cameron Thomas who returns to Ocean City, New Jersey during the holidays with her son to start over. Ocean City is a small town close to Atlantic City and it’s popular during the summers with many of the beach homes occupied by then. But during the winter, it’s pretty bleak.
She has to shop for a tree with her son and they bump into the last person she expects to see again. A blast from her past, a reminder of a time when life was more innocent. Who knows? I might even expand it for 2018 because lots of readers have asked me this one burning question!

It’s such a cheesy title at times LOL but for the short story it worked great. And I got to write about one of my favorite small town places!
