Hallelujah #MusicMonday

The first time I got to hear a cello live was over twenty years ago when a massage client played a song for me while I was folding my massage table and getting ready to head home. He used to play a few keys on his piano while I would set up but on this day, just before he’d return to Switzerland after earning his Masters in Los Angeles and not knowing when he’d see me again, he decided to play his cello for me.

The only other time I’ve heard music so heavenly was when I was lucky enough to be sitting fifth-row center during one of violinist Isaac Stern’s final performances. But in such close quarters – and intimate, like the hallway of an apartment – the cello was just as heavenly.
