So it’s the weekend before Christmas and I’ve started reading/listening to Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us using my hardly utilized Scribd membership. I also have a few other books to dig into and I’m ready!
So if you’re looking for good reads this weekend, check out the following books that are currently on my Kindle, all of them from people I know in the blogosphere:
Silent Signs is the debut novel by Ana Simons. It’s a courageous and poetic novel about opening oneself up to love again even when everything has fallen apart.
Although not exactly indie but from a small press, The 12 Dares of Christmas is another debut novel by Leigh W. Stuart about a one woman’s dream to build a no-kill shelter and the lengths she’ll go to make it happen, like daring a man she just met to perform a strip tease for the local knitting society!
Pride’s Children: Purgatory by Alicia Butcher Ehrhardt is 99 cents this week! It’s the story of three very complicated people: author Kary Elizabeth Ashe, Irish star Andrew McConnell, and his fiancee, actress Bianca Doyle, as their very different worlds intersect.
If you like Urban Fantasy, check out Blood Promise by Tonya Kerrigan. She blogs about the story and characters here, but don’t take my word for it! Grab her book and lose yourself in a world of demons and destiny that follows generations.
Another urban fantasy pick is RKClose‘s Red Moon: Vampire Files Trilogy Book 2. It’s currently 99 cents this weekend. This and Red Night, the first book are FREE on Kindle Unlimited.
Another blogger with a book out is Charles French. I have Maledicus: Investigative Paranormal Society in my library and so far, the first chapters remind me of Peter Straub’s early works. So if you’re into horror, definitely check it out. Even the cover is scary!
Now isn’t that eclectic? Hope you find something that tickles your fancy this weekend and feed your Kindle! Don’t forget that some of them are on Kindle Unlimited and therefore free to read with your membership. Don’t have one? Check it out free for 30 days!
